Hello, my name is Regina. I am a counseling intern and a student working on my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am currently under the supervision of Tony Nguyen (LMFT Lic. #107936). I have always had a deep fascination with psychology and the complexity of people’s inner worlds. Today, I am grateful to be at a place in my life where I can utilize my passion for helping others improve their well-being and lead happier lives.
My approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, and solution-focused. I have faith in my clients’ inner wisdom and assume that they are the experts in their lives. As a therapist, I view my role as my clients’ guide in exploring their strengths, resources, and goals. I aim to help my clients build the resilience needed to overcome inevitable life challenges. I wholeheartedly believe in my clients, even if they do not believe in themselves now.
When working with couples, I strive to provide a safe space for both sides to be heard and validated. I base my approach on Gottman Method Couples Therapy. This method aims to help couples enhance emotional safety, trust, love, intimacy, friendship, positive affect, and shared meaning. When it comes to families with kids, I try to facilitate understanding between all family members. I share tools focused on improving family dynamics, strengthening connections, and promoting mutual respect.
To me, awareness, calmness of mind, authenticity, and gratitude are the foundations of a happy life. I also understand that other people might define happiness differently. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients on their journey to happiness, whichever way they describe it to themselves.
“As you breathe in, cherish yourself.
As you breathe out, cherish all beings.”
